Sharing ASPB’s 2026-2028 Strategic Plan

For more than 100 years, ASPB has been a cornerstone of the global plant science community, supporting discovery, advancing knowledge, and fostering connections among researchers, educators, and students. As the field continues to evolve, so too must the Society’s focus and priorities.

To provide clarity and direction for the years ahead, ASPB has developed its 2026–2028 Strategic Plan, an actionable framework that outlines how the Society will grow its community, strengthen its scientific leadership, expand its global impact, and ensure long-term sustainability. This plan was introduced at the ASPB Town Hall meeting on July 21, 2026, at Plant Biology 2026 in Ottawa, Ontario.

The below infographic offers a high-level view of that strategy. It highlights the core goals and guiding principles shaping ASPB’s work, from nurturing a more inclusive and connected community to amplifying the role of plant science in addressing global challenges. This snapshot is designed to make it easy to understand where the Society is headed and how its priorities will support both the plant science community and the broader world in the years to come.
