Plant Biology 2020 – COVID-19 Statement

Planning continues uninterrupted for ASPB’s upcoming Plant Biology 2020 conference in Washington, DC, on July 25 to 29, 2020.  Plenary and concurrent symposia are taking shape; workshops are scheduled, and registration is strong and on target based on our historical attendance data: we are looking forward to another great meeting.

Although we are excited to feature our usual excellent science and networking opportunities during Plant Biology 2020, our first concern is for the health and well-being of our attendees, staff, and local DC community.  We are carefully monitoring the evolving status of COVID-19. All decisions will be made in consultation with local health authorities and guided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, and other relevant agencies.  We are also making contingency plans, including the possibility of online access to meeting content, in case of circumstances merit implementing them.

We ask for your patience and commitment to the conference as we monitor and evaluate the situation. We will update you regularly, and we will share our contingency plans with you before the early bird registration deadline of April 17.

In the meantime, we continue our work to make Plant Biology 2020 a great success for all.

We will post all future updates about Plant Biology 2020 on this page.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at pbregistration@aspb.org
