4 Ways To Connect With And Support Your PUI Colleagues at #PlantBio16

Here are four easy ways to connect with your peers, support each other, get ideas, and find resources.
  1. Attend the PUI Networking Workshop: Funding Research at PUI – Sunday, July 10 – 7-9 pm – $
    This workshop is for faculty currently working at primarily undergraduate institutions (PUIs) or younger scientists who would like to get a job at a PUI. While teaching is a large part of being a PUI faculty member, maintaining a successful research program is also critical for career advancement and for providing undergraduates with high-caliber research experiences.
  2. Participate in the Career Chat: Working at a PUI Monday, July 11th – 11:30am at the Plantae Pavilion
    Interested attendees will questions about working at a primarily undergraduate university.  Speakers from Sunday evening’s PUI workshop there as well. Participate and help generate interest in PUI career paths.
  3. Attend the PUI Meetup Monday 3:15 – 3:45 pm at the Plantae Pavilion
    Meet up with the PUI networking group at the Plantae Pavilion. Topics for discussion: a possible PUI section within ASPB in the future, how to use Plantae to stay connected, identify needs and resources to help PUIs’ thrive.
  4. Join the PUI Networking group on Plantae
    Grow the PUI networking group to share resources and discuss topics of interest, and help support and inspire undergraduates!
