2019 CSPB-ASPB Joint Workshop: Meeting Academic Employers from China

Are you sincerely interested in pursuing a faculty position in China?  Then ASPB and our sibling society in China, the Chinese Society for Plant Biology, can help! On Saturday August 3, 2019 at Plant Biology 2019 in San Jose, CA the two societies are convening a unique networking workshop and luncheon. The workshop will allow conference attendees to engage with representatives of eight major research universities and institutes in China that are or soon will be recruiting faculty.

Space is limited and restricted to those who are actively on the academic job market.

Joint Workshop Participating Universities and Institutes To learn more about the hiring plans of participating universities and institutions, please review the employment profiles from each of them:

If you are interested in participating, please submit your short application here. Act fast to reserve your spot before the workshop fills up!

Selected participants – typically postdocs and current faculty who are or soon will be looking to fill entry-level or higher-level faculty positions at world-class institutions – will also have the opportunity to engage with institutions via pre-workshop activities in Plantae and post-summit in-person interviews and conversations throughout the Plant Biology conference. These activities will allow you to explore specific positions and learn about the benefits of working at participating institutions.

Workshop activities begin promptly at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, so please make your San Jose travel plans and hotel accommodations accordingly.

If you have questions about the event, please email Teresa Myers at meetings@aspb.org or inquire in the comment section below.
