The Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research (FFAR) has released a call for nominations for the 2017 New Innovator in Food and Agriculture Research Award. This is the second competition for this award, which aims to “support the next generation of food and agriculture scientists”. While last year the award was limited to one nominee per ap
plicant, the 2017 competition allows up to two nominees. However, no changes were made to the eligibility – nominees must be within the first three years of tenure-track or equivalent career. FFAR will distribute 10 awards, for a total of up to $300,000 (over a three year period) with a required 50% match. The deadline to submit nominations is February 28, 2017.
