Check Out ASPB’s 9 Sections and What They Have to Offer

Did you know that the American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB) has 6 regional sections and 3 topical sections that offer exciting opportunities for networking, presenting, and getting involved? Check out what each section has to offer coming up this year!

Upcoming Regional Section Meetings:
The regional section leaders are hard at work planning the section meetings. These events are an opportunity to connect with members of the plant science community – a little closer to home. Go to their web pages for more information.

Topical Sections:
ASPB topical sections host programming throughout the year. Go to their web pages to see the exciting programming that they have available.

Early Career Plant Scientists (ECPS):
Besides other ways to get involved, and various activities at Plant Biology 2025, the ECPS Section is hosting several webinars this year that are ECPS and ASPB member-only events. The next one will be in March: watch for those details to be announced soon. Also, look for them at the regional meetings to help with networking activities.

Environmental & Ecological Plant Physiology (EEPP)
The EEPP Section will host a workshop at Plant Biology 2025. Their workshop will include speakers on focused topics and information about the section.

Primarily Undergraduate Institutions (PUI)
The PUI Section will host a workshop and business meeting at Plant Biology 2025. They also host virtual networking sessions that are open to all. The PUI section will also have an increased presence at regional section meetings.

Sections are a great way to get involved in ASPB.  Check out each section’s website and consider getting involved!
